A block back from the sand on A1A Beach Boulevard, Cafe Eleven has spent years being the St Augustine Beach locals' answer to every meal of the day. Breakfast peaks at the weekend all-you-can-eat buffet; dinner is where it stretches - meatloaf under grilled red onion and balsamic, catch of the day done three ways, honey balsamic salmon, steak and avocado tacos with plantains and black beans. There is a full vegetarian and vegan menu, espresso drinks, and a half-price happy hour from three to seven. Independent, unpolished in the right way, and open late enough to matter.
