ORIGINAL PANCAKE HOUSE – Restaurant

Griddle and oven, working side by side since long before brunch became a category. At The Original Pancake House in Miami the signatures are the oven-baked ones: an Apple Pancake glazed in Sinkiang cinnamon around fresh granny smiths, and a Dutch Baby served plain enough that lemon and powdered sugar do the finishing. Elsewhere on the menu are Georgia pecan and coconut pancakes, ten silver dollar pancakes for children, the Two by Four of eggs and buttermilk cakes, a corned beef hash made in house, and fresh-squeezed orange juice. It opens early and closes in the afternoon.
