Otoro – Restaurant
A kosher omakase counter on West 41st Street, which is not a sentence Miami Beach could have written a few years ago. Fish comes in from Japan and much of it is dry-aged in house: otoro and chutoro nigiri, dry-aged sea bream and kampachi, bluefin tartare with egg yolk and nori bugak, hamachi crudo with cara cara and fennel. Past the sushi sit an eleven-day dry-aged whole dorada with chermoula and harissa, a thirty-day ribeye, smoked hummus with za'atar. High ceilings, no stiffness. Closed Friday, open after sundown Saturday.
