Small, chef-owned Italian gem on Sunset Drive in South Miami, born when the Milan-trained chef and his wife Carola set out to bring the fresh-pasta traditions of his Marche upbringing abroad. Hand-made pasta arrives reliably al dente — the black pasta with shrimp, eggplant parmigiana, and ragù draw the loudest praise — in a room that is modest on purpose and warmer for it, with Giovanni and Carola themselves setting the tone.
