Pita Plus (Sunrise) – Restaurant
A South Florida Israeli counter where the pita comes out warm and the plates come out enormous. Pita Plus grills chicken shawarma and carves shawarma to order, fries falafel crisp outside and soft within, and builds mix plates with hummus, Israeli pickles, pickled carrots and sides that could feed two. There are baguettes, grilled chicken and baklava to finish. Prices stay reasonable for the volume. Diners repeatedly describe it as the most authentic Mediterranean food they can find locally, and the staff as fast, friendly and unfailingly cheerful.
