Portosole occupies four thousand square feet of a 1924 building on Ponce de Leon Boulevard, and the room is as much of the draw as the plate: large, formal, and firm enough about it that hats, tank tops and flip flops are not welcome. The kitchen makes its own pasta and works from authentic recipes, with seafood the strongest suit and an all-Italian wine list to sit alongside. Service gets consistently good notices.
