On Yaldei Teheran Street in Rishon LeZion, Kyoto Nei carries forward the older Kyoto kitchen and pushes it somewhere newer. The menu keeps the classics that built the original's name and sets them next to dishes that lean on less familiar techniques and bolder flavours from across the Far East. Sushi is the centre of gravity — rolls, platters built for a table, a full delivery list — with lunch and evening menus running alongside. It is certified kosher. A sushi room with a memory, cooking like it still has something to prove.
