Silver Palace has been on SW 137th Avenue since 1994, and its customers measure their loyalty in decades - twenty and thirty years is a common line in reviews. The kitchen is Cantonese at heart: barbecue duck, pan-fried noodles, salt and pepper shrimp, honey garlic chicken, special fried rice, plus a salad and dessert bar that dates the place in the best way. Nobody claims the decor is current; everybody says it is clean, the portions are large and the price is fair. A no-frills Chinese restaurant that has outlasted every trend around it.
