On Atlantic Boulevard a few blocks from the ocean, The Toasted Yolk Cafe runs a from-scratch breakfast and lunch service that shuts at three. The kitchen builds its own sauces, dressings and soups, then throws them at an American menu with some swagger: Nashville Hot Chicken & Waffles, brisket tacos with scrambled egg and roasted potato, avocado toast under pico, the Alaskan Arnold with salmon and hollandaise, dragon fruit pancakes for the table. Churro-style donuts arrive first if you are sensible. Fresh juice, good coffee, mimosas if the day allows. Beach-town brunch with real cooking behind it.
