TooJay's Deli (Vero Beach) – Restaurant

Treasure Coast Plaza on 21st Street, and a deli menu that reads like a New York holdout on the Florida coast. TooJay's has been at this since 1981: hot corned beef hand-trimmed and steamed, a Rachel with pastrami and creamy coleslaw, matzo ball soup, crisp mini potato pancakes with sour cream. Entrees stretch to Atlantic salmon under dill hollandaise and lean brisket over potato pancakes with mushroom demi-glace. Everything sweet is baked in house. What diners repeat, over and over, is the size of the plate. Plan for leftovers.
