A Tilden Road fixture that has held the same spot for over a decade, True Asian runs two kitchens at once: a long Chinese-American menu and a sushi bar that punches above the strip-mall setting. Regulars order sesame, orange and bourbon chicken, boneless spareribs and fried rice, then work through the rolls — the salmon crunch and fireball among them — especially at happy hour, when rolls drop to five dollars. The room is clean, the feel is family-run, the parking is easy. Opinion splits on consistency, but the sushi side is what keeps the loyalists coming back.
