TU SUSHI 305 – Restaurant

Chef Angel Mendoza took Tu Sushi 305 from order-only to a bricks-and-mortar room on West 12th Avenue in Hialeah, and the menu still reads like a love letter to South Florida. The Biscayne layers breaded crab and salmon under avocado and a vegetable tartar; the Dixie Highway tops shrimp and crab with tuna, truffle and yuca chips; the Hollywood crowns salmon and tuna with mixed tartar. Beyond rolls there are sushi nachos, tataki, wok dishes, and boats and sushi cakes for a crowd. Diners keep flagging the same two things: generous plates, and prices that don't match the presentation.
