A fishing-shack-casual spot on the Overseas Highway in Islamorada, indoor and outdoor seating, happy hour from four to six. Shrimp is the whole thesis: half-pound fried baskets, coconut shrimp with a sweet-savoury crust, po'boys, blackened shrimp tacos, shrimp and grits, and a mahi-and-shrimp platter for the undecided. The clam chowder gets a curry twist that shouldn't work and does. Fish and chips come out light and flaky, and a good share of the fryer menu is gluten-free. Diners keep saying the fried shrimp sets a bar they hadn't expected in a roadside stop. Keys food, done straight.
