UPTOWN KEESE’S – Restaurant

Greek cooking on Commercial Boulevard, a short walk from the sand in Lauderdale-by-the-Sea, in a casual counter-style spot open from noon until eleven every day of the week. Gyros and the steak pita carry the menu, backed by an avocado lemon salad people ask for by name, horiatiki, a tzatziki and hummus platter, melitzanosalata, falafel and grilled salmon. There are Greek beers and a decent wine list to go with it. The recurring theme across reviews is freshness and consistency — the same plates, done properly, visit after visit. Beach-adjacent, and better than it needs to be.
