VANBARRY'S PUBLIC HOUSE – Restaurant
A South Orange Avenue neighborhood pub with a big dog-friendly patio, a fireplace inside and a jar of pickles waiting on the table before you order. The kitchen punches above the room: the Bare Naked Burger, Cuban flatbread, blackened fish and Boomin' shrimp tacos, a Cajun grouper sandwich, mac and cheese skillet, bacon caramel fries, and a candied walnut salad people order on purpose. There is a tableside s'mores board for the kids and a Bloody Mary built like a snack platter. Locals describe portions that guarantee leftovers and servers who remember them. Easy, loud, good.
