VENICE VIBES – Restaurant
A newer bar and restaurant on South Tamiami Trail, in a room that housed Italian restaurants for decades before this — and the kitchen keeps a nod to that, with chicken parmesan over angel hair and lobster ravioli in a tomato-ricotta sauce. Everything else is looser and funnier: candied bacon, a big soft pretzel with bacon cheese sauce, an adult lunchable board of meats and cheeses, jumbo shrimp with seasonal berries over spinach, filet or ribeye under red wine butter, a Venice wrap of prosciutto, turkey and gouda. Happy hour runs every day, mid-afternoon. Unserious in the best way.
