Rebuilt from the ground up after Hurricane Ian and back open on Estero Boulevard since autumn 2025, The Whale trades on a panoramic stretch of Gulf, live music most days and a kitchen that leans coastal and smoky in equal measure. Fresh local seafood carries the menu - grouper cheek tacos, blackened grouper, fish and chips, Yucatan shrimp - alongside slow-smoked brisket and a bar list of craft cocktails. Diners come back for the view and the staff as much as the food, and say the room stays cheerful even when it is packed. Beach dining with its swagger restored.
