WINDWARD BAR & GRILLE – Restaurant

Tucked into a small Island Estates plaza a short walk from the Clearwater Marine Aquarium, this is the neighbourhood bar the neighbourhood actually uses. It runs late, seven days, and the kitchen ranges wider than a bar menu should: the Windward burger, ahi tuna nachos, buffalo shrimp, stromboli, pepperoni knots, a Cuban sandwich, French onion soup, even spaghetti and meatballs. Regulars talk about it the way people talk about a bar where the staff know them, and the nachos come up constantly. Free parking, no attitude, drinks that never hit empty. A very good hidden one.
