Open in Mirpur-10 since 2009, Xinxian has settled into the role of the neighbourhood's family Chinese restaurant. The menu runs Chinese and Thai, with Bangla dishes arranged on request for bigger groups, and the kitchen's most-ordered plates are the chicken cashew nut salad and a Thai soup with wontons. There is a small indoor playground, which tells you exactly who fills the tables at the weekend, and the room takes small and mid-size family events.
