YOSHIKOMO – Restaurant

Yoshikomo runs a sushi counter off NW 35th Street in Miami built for evening orders, and the menu leans playful rather than reverent. The Bam-Bam is shrimp wrapped in cream cheese under tempura salmon; the Sushi Waffle presses rice into a waffle and loads it with smoked salmon or tuna, avocado, green onion, sesame, spicy mayo and truffle eel sauce. Beyond that there are traditional rolls, tempura rolls, barcos, bowls and a handful of hot dishes. It opens late and does most of its business as takeout and delivery. Regulars point to the tempura rolls and to portions that arrive bigger than the menu photos suggest.
