יאפה כנאפה – coffee_shop

Yaffa Knafeh opened in the Jaffa flea market in 2018, founded by two friends, Farah Abu Nijem and Shehadeh Abu Shehadeh, and was the first place here to serve knafeh with ice cream - a contemporary Turkish idea dropped into an old Jaffa street. A second branch followed in April 2020 on Beit Eshel, a few metres from the clock tower. Beyond the knafeh there is Turkish baklava, trilece, malabi, and the drinks to go with them: Turkish tea, mint tea, cardamom-scented Arabic coffee, sahlab. Sweet, and unmistakably Jaffa.
