Alday's has been cooking Southern cracker-style barbecue for forty years across Sarasota and Bradenton: spare ribs, baby backs, brisket, pork, chicken, salmon and smoked mullet, that last one a genuine Gulf Coast holdout. The sauce is tangy and mustard-based. Sides are made fresh daily, mac and cheese and boiled green beans among them, and banana pudding built with sour cream and condensed milk is the finish regulars insist on.
