ANATOLIAN FIRE – Middle Eastern
A family Turkish kitchen on Bay Street in downtown Daytona Beach, run by people from Izmir, where Turkish and Greek cooking have shared a table for centuries. The grill does the heavy lifting: Adana kebab wraps, chicken skewer platters, beef-and-lamb gyro wraps and Turkish beef kofte platters, all built on fresh bread and charred edges. Vegetarians get hummus, falafel and a bright bulgur salad, and the Mediterranean panini stacks black olives, tomato, feta and herbs. Finish with Turkish rice pudding or mastic pudding, plus Turkish coffee or a warm cup of sahlep. Generous plates, a small room, and quick turnaround.
