A Venezuelan daytime kitchen on North Goldenrod Road, open from eight in the morning and shut by late afternoon. This is a breakfast-and-lunch operation and it knows it. Andina Delicatessen sends out arepas filled to order, arepa with perico and shredded cheese, tequenos, empanadas and pastelitos, plus soups built on beef ribs or chicken with corn and vegetables, served with rice or an arepa. Lulo juice arrives properly cold. Seating is small and homey rather than designed. Regulars come for food that tastes like somebody's mother made it. Early hours, honest plates, no theatre, and a room that stays busy.
