ARCHIES SEABREEZE – Restaurant

Archie Summerlin turned a wartime Navy guard shack into a beer joint in 1947, built for the frogmen training at Fort Pierce, and the place has been running on the same motto ever since: no shirt, no shoes, no problem. It sits across A1A from the beach at the north end of Hutchinson Island, pulling bikers, tourists, locals and retirees in equal measure. The kitchen sends out burgers, wings, fish tacos, fish and chips, coconut shrimp, cheesesteaks, chicken wraps and salads, backed by a full liquor bar and frozen drinks. Live music at weekends, dogs welcome, sunsets included. Gloriously unpolished.
