Arthur Godfrey Road, seven in the morning, and the trays are already coming out of the oven. Bagel Boss brought its Long Island method south: dough hand-rolled, kettle-boiled, then baked, and flattened into the crisp-edged flagel that made the family's name. The Miami Beach store is certified kosher, which shapes the counter—whitefish salad, baked salmon salad, smoked lox, classic tuna, lite veggie tuna, egg salad, gourmet schmears, plus pastries and salads sold by the pound. Closed Saturdays, and open from seven Sunday through Friday. Bagels from a bakery that has been at it since 1975, and still without the shortcuts.
