Bagel King – Restaurant

A kosher dairy neighborhood cafe on West County Line Road in Jackson, working an early shift: eight to four most days, closing at two on Friday, dark on Saturday. Bagels are kettle-boiled and stone-baked, then built to order. There is egg and cheese, a plain pizza bagel with mozzarella melted over the house sauce, tuna with melted mozzarella, and pastrami-style smoked lox schmeared on both halves. Past the bagels sit wraps, grill items, pasta, pizza, fish, pastry and spreads sold by the pound, plus waffles, pancakes and French toast. Gourmet coffee and frappes go out with them.
