Banc Cafe – bar

A Murray Hill corner that has been pouring since 2004, Banc Cafe runs long: brunch from late morning, dinner through the evening, live music, and a kitchen still sending food out near closing. The menu is American with a wide roam. Coconut shrimp, marinated steak bao buns, homemade chicken dumplings, tuna and avocado tartare, steamed PEI mussels, a crab cake with sweet corn relish, porcini and eggplant meatballs, prosciutto and fig flatbread. Vegetarians get real options here rather than an afterthought. Diners come back for the room's easy noise and a bar list that keeps going after most kitchens quit.
