BONO'S PIT BAR-B-Q – Restaurant

The Blanding Boulevard branch of a Jacksonville pit barbecue outfit that has been smoking meat since 1949, sitting in a Middleburg strip alongside the everyday traffic of Clay County. The whole menu is cooked in house: pulled pork, beef brisket, smoked turkey, sausage links, smoked chicken and St. Louis ribs, sold as platters with garlic toast and two sides. The Bo Hawg stacker buries pulled pork under cheddar and a sausage link. Sides are scratch-made, from Brunswick stew to fried squash. Banana pudding and cobbler close it out. Order it by the pound and feed the whole house at once.
