At the Kanyoter centre on Ha'Irisim in Ness Ziona, Burger Ranch runs the counter routine it has run since 1972. The menu centres on the chain's Sfardi burger, a patty under piquant Spanish sauce with pickles and caramelized onion, with grilled chicken, zigzag fries, onion rings and the Combina sharing platter built for two to four people. Chocofies, fried dough filled with chocolate cream, handle dessert. It is badatz-kosher, closes Friday afternoon and reopens after Shabbat. Diners come for speed and price rather than ceremony. Israel's oldest burger chain, still doing exactly the job it set out to do.
