Caffe Valencia – coffee_shop

A small Williamsburg caffè on Berry Street where the espresso machine runs from opening and brunch is the main event. Family-owned and named for the founder's father, the kitchen cooks home-style recipes to order in a room that seats a handful. The brown butter waffle is the signature. The Montauk piles smoked salmon, avocado and feta onto a toasted croissant, and the New Yorker croissant sandwich has its own regulars; there is a prosciutto sandwich too, a coffee soda, and house espresso blends bagged to take home. Diners return for the welcome as much as the plate. Small but mighty.
