CASA MASA – Restaurant

Casa Masa calls itself untraditionally traditional and the House of Corn, and means both: blue corn tortillas pressed on site, Oaxacan quesillo brought in from the state, the rest made in-house. Tacos are the spine of the menu, from guajillo-braised oxtail and duck confit carnitas with plum sauce to lamb birria with consomme, barbacoa de lengua and a hangover taco crowned with a quail egg. Around them sit tlayudas, enmoladas de mariscos in mole blanco, charred pulpo with epazote pesto, and lobster esquites with corn, cotija and crema. Three Sarasota rooms, full-service to counter. Open daily, from eleven until ten.
