FLAVIOS BRICK OVEN – Restaurant

On Ocean Boulevard at the north end of Siesta Key, Flavio's Brick Oven & Bar runs an Italian card long enough to reward a second visit: burrata antipasto and cozze al vino bianco to start, spaghetti alla carbonara or linguine alle vongole for the pasta-minded, and a risotto ai frutti di mare stacked with mussels, shrimp, clams and calamari. Saltimbocca alla Romana and a Mediterranean zuppa di pesce carry the mains, while twelve-inch Neapolitan pies, from a straight Margherita to prosciutto e arugola, come out of the brick oven. Doors open nightly at four, with happy hour the first two.
