The Lakewood Ranch outpost of a Sarasota French bakery and café, tucked into the Courtyards at Market Square just north of University Parkway, the first light east of the interstate. It keeps daytime hours and daytime pleasures: croissants and viennoiseries straight from the case, omelettes piperade, a croissant stuffed with scrambled egg, Swiss cheese and bacon, and crêpes both savoury and sweet — Forestière with bacon and mushrooms in cream, Nutella with strawberry and banana. Paninis toast on freshly baked bread; the salads run from Niçoise to Amandine with fried goat cheese. Online ordering available. Breakfast and lunch, done properly.
