CINEMATIQUE THEATER – Restaurant

Downtown Daytona Beach's arthouse cinema trades multiplex rows for upholstered bistro seating and couches, and staff carry orders to your seat instead of making you queue twice. The nonprofit has screened independent film on South Beach Street for decades, billing itself as the only venue of its kind in Volusia County. The counter runs well past popcorn and candy into quiche, hummus with pita and pretzel bites, alongside beer and wine that moviegoers repeatedly note cost far less than chain prices. Live music, comedy and free community screenings fill gaps between films. Sixty-seven seats, outdoor tables, and no corporate polish.
