Waterfront tables on the Tampa Riverwalk, a canopied patio, pitchers of sangria, and a kitchen working the Columbia family's Spanish-Cuban repertoire since 1905. The tableside-tossed "1905" Salad arrives with ham, Swiss and that garlic dressing; the Cuban sandwich follows a 1915 recipe on La Segunda Central bread. Start with devil crab croquettes, empanadas de picadillo, or the saffron-scented Spanish bean soup. Mains run to paella Espanola, ropa vieja, chicken and rice Ybor, lechon asado and mahi-mahi Cayo Hueso. Finish with white chocolate bread pudding in rum sauce. Downtown in the Water Street neighbourhood, inside the Tampa Bay History Center building.
