CONCH HEAVEN – Restaurant

Bahamian cooking on NW 27th Avenue, doors open from eight and running through to dinner. Breakfast is the giveaway here: stew conch, stew fish, pig feet souse, tuna and grits, corned beef and grits. Later the counter turns to cracked conch, conch fritters, conch burgers, grouper fingers and fried snapper, with grilled snapper, grouper, conch and shrimp for anyone skipping the fryer. Seafood combinations come in two or three pieces. The sides tell you where you are - peas n rice, johnny cake, festival, plantain, steamed cabbage, macaroni. Guava duff closes it out. This is conch country, cooked every way.
