BAR-B-QUE RIBS CHICKEN & JERK SHACK – Restaurant

A barbecue and Caribbean shack on North West 27th Avenue in north Miami that keeps going long after most kitchens have shut, past midnight midweek and towards dawn at weekends. Barbecue chicken and ribs come off the pit, jerk chicken arrives from the Jamaican side of the menu, and a combo plate settles the argument between them. Pork chops, turkey wings and fried chicken wings fill out the mains, with pork and chicken souse for those who know to ask. Sides are proper soul food: collard greens, cabbage, candy yams, lima beans, macaroni and cheese, potato salad. Cheap, generous, late.
