On South Beach Street downtown, this branch of the local roaster-cafe opens at seven and stays until nine, and what lands on the counter is made from scratch that morning. Fried chicken biscuits headline: the Knox with smoked paprika country gravy, the Copperline with pimento cheese and pecanwood bacon, the Copeland with red pepper jelly and goat cheese. Waffles include a cinnamon roll version under house icing. Croissant sandwiches, kale and apple salad, and a vegan sweet potato and black bean chili round it out.
