COTOLETTA – Italian
The original of Miami's most disciplined Italian idea, open on Grand Avenue in Coconut Grove since late 2024 and still built around a single main course. Cotoletta alla Milanese, the breaded veal chop of Lombard Sunday lunches, is what the kitchen sends out, meant to be shared across a long table. Sides do the varying: spaghetti al pomodoro e basilico, house fries, or a sharp arugula, tomato and Parmigiano salad. The room takes its cues from old osterie and trattorie, warm and deliberately unfussy, with dinner nightly and weekend lunch from half past twelve. Walk-ins are welcome, reservations still recommended.
