Order at the food counter and the kitchen builds soups, salads, sandwiches and combination platters around shawarma, grilled chicken, kafta kabob, kibbeh, falafel, hummus, stuffed grape leaves and tabouli. A dessert counter handles baklava and other filo-dough pastries layered with chopped nuts and sweet syrup. Then shop the shelves for Middle Eastern and Greek cheeses, olives, olive oils, nuts, dried fruit and spices. Regulars treat it as a lunch stop and a pantry run in one single trip.
