DAIRY JOY – Restaurant
Nearly seven decades on the same South Tampa corner, and Dairy Joy still works the way it did in 1958: order at the walk-up window, or swing through the drive-thru beside it. The theme is unapologetically fifties, parked Chevys, doo-wop and a photo with the King. Soft serve comes as chocolate, vanilla or swirl, in waffle cones rolled through rainbow or peanut sprinkles. Specialty waffle-bowl sundaes carry names like Black Forest, Chocolate Turtle and Flutter Nutter. Premium tubs stretch to salted caramel praline, pistachio and cotton-candy Unicorn. Hot dogs, root beer floats and Brainfreeze slushes cover the rest. Open late.
