Downtown Fort Lauderdale gets its pizza from a Campanian pizzaiolo who trained along the Amalfi Coast before moving to Florida in 2011. Dario ran Pizzaiolo Italian Cafe until 2022, then reopened a few doors down under his own name on Southeast 6th Street. Square cheese slices and lunch combos carry the midday rush. The round pies run from margherita and diavola to a four-cheese with gorgonzola and ricotta, alongside house pies named Natalia, Valentina and 110 Tower. Calzones, strombolis, the Capri chicken sandwich and classic meatballs fill out the rest. An Italian coffee bar and a bakery counter open early.
