A wood-fired oven on South Federal Highway and Attilio Reale in charge of it — Osteria Acqua e Farina has been feeding Fort Lauderdale for more than fifteen years. Pizza is half the argument: margherita with fior di latte, a San Daniele under prosciutto and arugula, a four-cheese bianca, calzones savoury and, improbably, Nutella. The pasta is just as serious: bucatini all'amatriciana with guanciale, orecchiette in sausage ragù, pappardelle ai funghi, linguine alle vongole with Maine little necks. Chicken Valentino and a Milanese veal chop for bigger appetites. Dinner only, indoors or out.
