DOG ET AL – Restaurant

Tallahassee's hot dog counter since 1984, and still made to order rather than left sitting under a warmer. The house dog is a snappy six-inch all-beef, dressed however you like; the footlong runs a quarter pound, and the Big Foot doubles that again. Sausage options stretch to bratwurst, Italian, Polish and Southern smoked. Burgers are hand-pattied and smashed with Et Al sauce, and the philly cheesesteak arrives loaded with peppers, onions, mushrooms and provolone. Fries are cut by hand and fried in beef tallow; the chili follows the original recipe. Catering runs across town. Closed Sundays, and worth the queue.
