DON LUIGI – Restaurant

A small chef-owned room on North Palm Avenue in downtown Sarasota where dinner is not ordered but entrusted. There is no card to choose from: you name the number of courses and Chef Luigi Di Iorio, born on Ischia and trained across Italy, Spain, Germany, Switzerland, London and the States, builds the rest around what the season gives. Three courses start the evening at thirty-five dollars; six and seven-plus arrive with wine pairings he selects himself. Pasta is made by hand daily and producers are kept local. Lunch runs Thursday through Saturday, midday only. Seating is limited, so book ahead.
