The Family Fun Center on South Florida Avenue in Lakeland is built for arcade nights, mini-golf, and Laser Tag through Funtasia's tunnels, but the room worth returning to is the counter at Cap's Pizza Cafe. Every pie is handmade, not pulled frozen, stretched into personal or large rounds with pepperoni, bacon, sausage, mushrooms, olives, peppers, and onions. Boneless wings come tossed in mild, barbecue, ranch, or blue cheese, alongside soft pretzels, nachos, mini corn dogs, and tater tots. Parents refueling between birthday parties keep saying the pizza tastes fresher than expected from an arcade. Games first, then a real slice.
