Named for the grandmothers of its two owners, Geraldine and Eula Mae's is a Miami takeout kitchen that treats soul food as a starting point rather than a boundary. Fried chicken arrives with collards and mac and cheese exactly as it should, but the menu also runs to Cantonese Peking pork chops and Peruvian roasted chicken, with long lists of rice dishes, chicken plates and salads behind them. The kitchen makes a point of cooking without chemicals and letting the natural flavours carry. Comfort food with a passport.
