Gulf Drive Cafe has sat on the beach at Bradenton Beach since 1981, covered outdoor seating facing the Gulf, the Kokonut Hut tiki bar alongside it with a jukebox and a standing welcome for dogs. Eggs run all day: three-egg plates, corned beef hash, eggs Benedict, bananas Foster French toast, beignets, with burgers, salads and the fish of the day carrying the later hours. Southern Living has named it one of the best breakfasts in Florida, and the morning queue suggests agreement. Waits get long. The view earns them.
