Chef Guy Ben Asher started with a food truck in Pardes Hanna-Karkur; the kosher branch on Derekh HaBanim carries the same short menu indoors. It all rests on the smash burger — American in style, stripped of ornament — in single, double and cheeseburger form, with a vegan option and fresh chips alongside. Lettuce, tomato, onion, soft bun, nothing extra. The burgers turn up regularly on national round-ups of Israel's best. Focused, fairly priced and unbothered by trends.
